Job summary

The Hampshire Clinic, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking an Infection Prevention and Control Lead to join the team on a 22.5-hour-per-week contract.

The role focuses on embedding IPC across the hospital, developing annual IPC programs, and ensuring compliance with HCAI and related standards. A postgraduate IPC qualification and IPC experience are required, with training opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or other registrant profession.
• Teaching qualification ENB 998 or equivalent.
• Postgraduate IPC qualification (PGCert or higher).
• Specialist IPC knowledge at hospital level.
• Ability to apply IPC knowledge to risk assessment and controls.
• Experience delivering IPC training to staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure IPC is addressed in all hospital areas and activities.
• Incorporate IPC considerations into new builds, refurbishments, and expansions.
• Ensure compliance with HCAI DH 2010 and equivalent standards in Scotland/Wales.
• Develop annual IPC program aligned to national IPC standards and Circle Health Group objectives.
• Ensure mandatory IPC training is completed by staff (online and face-to-face).
• Provide IPC information to staff and ensure ongoing training.
