Job summary

Found Food & Drink in Lincolnshire is seeking a scientifically minded Process Technologist to understand why manufacturing processes work, why they sometimes don’t, and how to make them better. The role blends process science, industrialisation, and technical problem-solving to deliver measurable improvements.

You’ll work with Production, Product Development, Technical and Engineering teams to improve existing processes, support new product implementation, and drive data-based, practical

Qualifications

• Strong scientific or technical foundation within process-driven manufacturing.
• Experience relating product formulation, materials, equipment and finished product performance.

Responsibilities

• Process Industrialisation & Scale-Up: transition products from development to repeatable manufacturing.
• Scientific Problem-Solving: investigate formulation behaviour, powder flow, binding, compression, process stability and equipment capability.
• Process Optimisation: identify limitations and opportunities to improve yield, throughput, consistency, waste, and overall performance.
• New Product Implementation: support NPI, manufacturing trials, process validation and new production methods.
• Root Cause Analysis: use structured problem-solving and data to propose sustainable solutions.
• Technical Reporting: analyse data and provide evidence-based recommendations to stakeholders.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with Production, Product Development, Technical and Engineering teams to drive improvements.
