Industrial UPS Sales Manager

Location - Hybrid with regional responsibility.

Duties

  • Manage customer expectations regarding completion of enquiry / tenders.
  • Review, comment, and negotiate commercial terms and conditions including credit requirements.
  • Lead handover meetings where required and take ownership of commercial aspects including margins.
  • Attend in person and via Teams customer meetings as necessary.
  • Discuss and review initial proposals regarding technical requirements of client's specifications.
  • Advise on best fit technical products using existing technologies for AC UPS, DC Chargers, and batteries.
  • Understand and interpret requirements for installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
  • Support the tendering engineer and provide guidance on margins and target prices to maximize margins/profit.
  • Ensure enquiries, customer details, status, and activities are logged and updated on the Company’s CRM system for management reporting.
  • Provide quotes and tenders for products, installation, commissioning, service, spares, and training as required.
  • Attend site meetings and complete surveys where necessary.
  • Provide monthly reports and presentations alongside the Industrial Sales team or individually.
  • Make recommendations on product development and pricing as appropriate.
  • Update on market trends, competitors, and market prices.
  • Assist in the development of team members and other departments where required.
  • Promote a “Can do” culture for internal and external stakeholders.

Experience

  • Experience with the Standby Power Industry or similar industries such as switchgear is advantageous.
  • Understanding of power electronics.
  • Ability to produce tenders/quotations is beneficial.
  • HNC or higher qualification or relevant experience desirable.
