Job summary

Duties

  • Manage customer expectations regarding completion of enquiries/tenders.
  • Review, comment, and negotiate commercial terms and conditions, including credit requirements.
  • Lead handover meetings when required and take ownership of commercial aspects, including margins.
  • Attend customer meetings in person or via Teams as necessary.
  • Discuss and review initial proposals regarding technical requirements of client specifications.
  • Advise on the best fit technical products using existing technologies for AC UPS, DC Chargers, and batteries.
  • Understand and interpret requirements for installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
  • Support the tendering engineer and provide guidance on margins and target prices to maximize margins and profit.
  • Ensure enquiries, customer details, status, and activities are logged and updated on the company’s CRM system for management reporting.
  • Provide quotes and tenders for products, installation, commissioning, service, spares, and training as needed to manage customer expectations and assist other departments.
  • Attend site surveys and meetings as necessary.
  • Provide monthly reports and presentations alongside the Industrial Sales team or independently as required.
  • Make recommendations on product development and pricing.
  • Update on market trends, competitors, and market prices.
  • Assist in developing others within the team and across departments.
  • Promote a “Can do” culture for internal and external stakeholders.

Experience

  • Experience in the Standby Power Industry or similar industries such as switchgear is advantageous.
  • Understanding of power electronics.
  • Ability to produce tenders/quotations is beneficial.
  • HNC or higher qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
