Steel Fabricator - Days - £36,465 to £38,675 + Overtime
Location: Leicester
Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:30pm, Friday 7:00am-9:30am
Holidays: 28 days + bank holidays
Shift Pattern: Days
Overtime:




  • Friday (after 9:30am): Paid at 1.25x




  • Saturday: Paid at 1.5x




  • Sunday: Paid at 2x




The Role:
We're looking for 2 candidates 1x experienced Steel Fabricator and 1 newly out of college with some hands on experience in an industrial setting to join a well-established team within a busy workshop environment. You'll be responsible for producing high-quality fabricated components used in structural and balustrade steelwork.


Key Responsibilities:




  • Read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings




  • Measure, cut, drill, and shape steel accurately




  • Fabricate and assemble steel and balustrade components




  • Perform MIG welding as required




  • Operate saws, grinders, drills, and CNC machinery




  • Conduct quality checks to meet required specifications




  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet deadlines




  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment




Requirements:




  • NVQ Level 3 in Steel Fabrication (or equivalent)




  • Experience creating jigs




  • Comfortable working in a physical, hands-on role




  • Apprenticeship-trained candidates are advantageous




  • Experience in a similar industry
