Job summary

Marine Resources Limited is seeking an Industrial Security Manager to lead security across the organisation, partnering with IT, cyber and operations to embed protective practices in projects and everyday activity.

You will manage personnel security, access controls, CCTV and incident reporting, ensure compliance with GovS 007, IPSA and FSC, and maintain clear policy documentation. UK security clearance is required, and strong communication with minimal supervision is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in industrial security, defence or a similar role.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing technology and engineering business for an experienced Industrial Security Manager to lead its security activities and support compliance across the organisation.

You’ll be the main point of contact for personnel, physical, protective and facility security, ensuring sensitive information, people and assets are appropriately protected. Working closely with operational, IT and cyber security teams, you’ll embed security requirements into day-to-day activities, projects and future business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with relevant government, industry and contractual security requirements, including GovS 007, IPSA and FSC where applicable.

• Manage security clearances, vetting and personnel security throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, awareness programmes and mandatory training.
• Oversee physical security arrangements, including CCTV, alarms, access controls and visitor and contractor processes.
• Ensure classified, sensitive and commercially confidential information is handled and protected appropriately.
• Support the investigation, reporting and resolution of security incidents and potential threats.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities and implement proportionate security measures.
• Work with IT, cyber security and operational teams to protect systems, facilities and information.
• Provide security advice for projects, bids, customer engagements and business development activities.

You’ll have three to five years’ experience in industrial security, defence or a similar role, with knowledge of physical security controls, risk assessments and protecting classified information. Strong organisational and communication skills, discretion and the ability to work independently are essential. Experience as a Company or Facility Security Controller would be an advantage. Current UK security clearance is required.
