Local Division Sales Manager


Your Role and Responsibilities


In this role, you will lead the Industrial Sales segment within ABB Measurements and Analytics in the UK & Ireland. This is a home-based position, reporting to the UK & IE Sales Manager. You will be responsible for delivering annual orders and profitability targets by leading a Sales Team across the region. Your duties also include Market Development and Channel Partner Management. The role targets mainly, but not exclusively, the Industrial Process, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Food & Beverage (Distilleries), Fiscal Metering, and Low Carbon Energy vertical markets, both directly and through ABB Value Partners. Key stakeholders include:

  • Major End User Clients
  • Engineering Companies & Contractors
  • System Integrators
  • Associated Plant Manufacturers, OEMs, etc.
  • ABB Value Partners

The work model is remote {#LI-remote}.


You will also be accountable for:

  • Expanding existing business across current and new verticals through sales of Field and Flow Instrumentation, Service offerings, and Solutions
  • Creating and executing sales strategies to achieve profitable growth
  • Leading a team of Area Sales Managers across the UK
  • Collaborating with ABB's Value Partners to support sales activities and grow channel business
  • Partnering with other ABB divisions to maximize market potential
  • Upholding ABB's integrity and ensuring health and safety standards
  • Motivating and driving the sales team to excel

Qualifications

  • Degree/HND/HNC in Instrumentation, Electrical/Electronic, or Chemical Engineering
  • Proven sales management experience within targeted verticals and detailed knowledge of instrumentation
  • Driving license
  • Residing within the sales territory, home-based
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce
  • Strong understanding of the commercial impact of technical decisions
  • Ability to engage confidently with clients at various levels of authority
