Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our Camden Slag Plant in Camden, NJ.

This position offers a rotating schedule: 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am, with two-week periods on days followed by two-week periods on nights, with days off in between. If you have previous heavy industrial maintenance experience, Heidelberg Materials wants to hear from you!

What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform preventative and corrective mechanical and electrical maintenance on plant equipment. You will execute work orders and inspection sheets accurately and provide feedback. Earn $28 per hour plus regular overtime!

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Previous heavy industrial maintenance experience required
• Knowledge of bearing types and applications in rotating equipment
• Ability to perform technical tasks using tools such as MIG and ARC welders, cutting torches, plasma cutters, micrometers, calipers, hoisting and rigging equipment, hand tools, hydraulic jacks
• Ability to calibrate instrumentation periodically, including scales, probes, feeders, etc.
• Ability to manage spare parts purchasing and physical inventory; ensure tools and equipment are returned in good condition
• Ability to read, write, and understand simple correspondence
• Ability to work different shifts, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Problem-solving skills and ability to follow instructions in various formats; automotive repair skills are a plus
