Job summary

Bentley Motors Limited is looking for Industrial Placement students for our Early Careers intake, based at the Dream Factory Bentley Campus. You will join a community of around 93 trainees across placements, graduates and apprentices, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge vehicle technologies while being mentored by industry experts.

Qualifications

• On track to achieve a 2:1 in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace and Aeronautical, Software, Electrical or Motorsports Engineering.
• Alternatively studying Physics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Mathematics or Artificial Intelligence.
• Interest in Simulation, Artificial Intelligence or Data Analytics.
• Good time and project management.
• Team working skills.
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink or programming desired.
• Formula Student experience desired but not essential.
• App development and code writing experience desired but not essential.

Job description

As part of Bentley's annual Early Careers intake, you'll join a community of around 93 trainees including Industrial Placements, Graduates, and Apprentices. During your placement, you'll be based at our Bentley Campus "Dream Factory". Alongside hands-on work experience, you'll also benefit from:

• Have the opportunity to work alongside industry experts in Vehicle Motion
• Gain an understanding of how a Bentley moves, from accelerating and braking, to cornering and how comfortable our cars are on different road surfaces
• Gain invaluable experience applying simulation methods in the development of a vehicle
• Work with cutting edge vehicle technologies and more, all while being mentored by industry leading experts

About the Department: The Future Vehicle Engineering Industrial Placement positions sit within the wider Research and Design function (R&D). We are responsible for the entire design and development process of all Bentley products, from idea creation all the way through to engineering sign off. Our mission is to inspire our customers by creating extraordinary products through passion, collaboration and sustainable innovation.

What we are looking for

The successful candidates will be on track to achieve a 2:1 in the following degrees: Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace and Aeronautical, Software, Electrical or Motorsports Engineering. Alternatively, we welcome candidates studying Physics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence.
