Job summary

As part of Bentley's Early Careers intake, you will join a cohort of about 93 trainees across Industrial Placements, Graduates and Apprenticeships at our Dream Factory campus in Crewe. You will gain hands-on experience in in-vehicle and App Software testing, contribute ideas to future products, and support the Connected Car test strategy while networking across departments.

The role sits within the Quality department, with the Smart Quality team ensuring excellent Connected Car experiences.

Qualifications

• On track to achieve a 2:1 in UI/UX Design, Engineering, Information Technology or Software Engineering (focus on testing).
• Able to plan and prioritise workload, work well with others and take ownership of decisions.

Responsibilities

• User acceptance testing on vehicle and test bench setup.
• Competitor analysis.
• Support the team in planning test activities.
• Collaborate with Development to manage open incidents and route to closure.
• Generate management reports to indicate project readiness.
• Support maintenance and execution of our in-house automated testing solution.

As part of Bentley's annual Early Careers intake, you'll join a community of around 93 trainees including Industrial Placements, Graduates, and Apprentices. During your placement, you'll be based at our Bentley Campus "Dream Factory". Alongside hands‑on work experience, you'll also benefit from:

• Placements and rotations across different areas of the business that interest you, As an Industrial Placement Student at Bentley, you will play a key part in Bentley's journey to creating extraordinary vehicles for our customers. Based out of our state-of-the-art headquarters in Crewe, you will:
• Gain practical knowledge in in-vehicle and App Software testing
• You will have the opportunity to pitch your innovation ideas and influence the future product
• Help building up the Connected Car test strategy
• Enhance your networking skills by working with other departments and organisations internationally
• Get an insight the in the Project management of an vehicle project
• Gain practical knowledge of Problem solving skills and toolset

Your main responsibilities include:

• User acceptance testing on vehicle and test bench setup

About the Department: The Quality department is one of the most versatile functions at Bentley. The Quality function plays a vital role in numerous cross-functional processes that shape our business landscape. What we are looking for: The successful candidates will be on track to achieve a 2:1 in the following degrees: UI/UX Design, Engineering, Information Technology or Software Engineering (focus on testing and problem resolution).
