Bentley Motors Limited invites applications for an Industrial Placement Student based in Crewe. You will join a community of trainees and support hands-on work, with rotations across areas of the business.

You will report to the Senior Process Planning Manager and contribute to delivering detailed planning for a Manufacturing Zone, from pre-series into series production, while gaining mentorship and development opportunities.

• On track for a 2:1 in Mechanical Engineering
• On track for a 2:1 in Manufacturing Engineering

Responsabilités

• Ensure quality planning (APQP) processes and audits in pre-series and series production
• Identify facility, jig, fixture and tooling needs and upgrade knowledge

About the role

As an Industrial Placement Student at Bentley, you will play a key part in Bentley’s journey to extraordinary vehicles for our customers. Based out of our state‑of‑the‑art headquarters in Crewe, you will:

Reporting to the Senior Process Planning Manager, the Industrial Placement will be responsible for developing, agreeing and delivering detailed planning requirements and concerns closure for a specific Manufacturing Zone / Technology from Pre-series into series production.

Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Responsible for delivery of Quality planning (APQP) processes and activities in pre-series and series production ensuring internal and external audit compliance
• Responsible for manufacturing sign-off of Bid‑specs and product B‑release in time with project timings and PEP deliverables
• Identification of Facility, Jig, Fixture and Tooling requirements and continual upgrading of technical knowledge e.g. liaison with group colleagues, benchmarking, training
• Developing the settings/parameters of equipment and process
• Responsible for implementing engineering change within your zone
