Job summary

Bentley invites Industrial Placement Students to join our Crewe headquarters, supporting the journey from pre-series to series production. You will report to the Senior Process Planning Manager and help deliver detailed planning requirements for a Manufacturing Zone/Technology.

Based in Crewe, you will work in a hybrid/flexible arrangement with opportunities for mentorship, masterclasses, and career development across our Early Careers intake of trainees.

Qualifications

• The successful candidates will be on track to achieve a 2:1 in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Strong communication, problem solving and time management skills.
• Interest in manufacturing processes and LEAN is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of Quality planning (APQP) processes and activities in pre-series and series production ensuring internal and external audit compliance.
• Responsible for manufacturing sign-off of Bid-specs and product B-release in time with project timings and PEP deliverables.
• Identification of Facility, Jig, Fixture and Tooling requirements and continual upgrading of technical knowledge; liaison with group colleagues, benchmarking, training.
• Developing the settings/parameters of equipment and process;
• Responsible for implementing engineering change within your zone.
