Main Responsibilities
  1. Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, grinders, cutting torches, preparing pipe fit-up and pipe threaders and benders.
  2. Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, valves and related equipment, according to specifications and isometrics, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints.
  3. Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures, such as equipment or tanks, using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
  4. Inspect, examine, and test installed piping systems using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
  5. Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
  6. Torqueing and tensioning of bolts for flanged connections.
  7. Installation of pipe supports.
  8. Rolling of pipeline strings onto roller tracks and trolleys.
  9. Steel pipe jacking using hydraulic or hand-operated jacks.
  10. Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints.
  11. Repairs and replacements of worn pipe lines as required.
  12. Assist with the installation of pipe assemblies, fittings and valves using hand and power tools.
  13. Support other departments, especially Welding & PWHT activities, as needed.
  14. Ensure a "zero harm" approach, prioritizing nuclear safety and security.
  15. Follow company rules and instructions related to the services and project requirements.
  16. Maintain housekeeping of work areas, including waste disposal and removal of unused materials.
  17. Use, store, and care of general maintenance products, hand and power tools safely.
Must do:
  • Take care of your own health and safety and that of others.
  • Cooperate with others on health and safety measures.
  • Follow training and instructions when using work items.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or ECITB Diploma in Installing Engineering Construction Plant and Systems - Pipefitting, or equivalent, or hold ECITB Skills Test/ACE Card.
  • Prove of English Level (CEFR) B1.
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance (BPSS).
  • Hold or be able to achieve CCNSG Safety Passport.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
