Job summary

ERM is seeking an Industrial Permitting Consultant to join our expanding team. Location is flexible for the right candidate, with a focus on UK regulatory regimes and potential extension across Europe.

You will support environmental permitting projects for data centre and key clients, engaging with regulators to achieve favourable outcomes. The role requires a degree in a relevant science or environmental discipline and experience in consulting, regulatory, or industry settings.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in a relevant science or environmental discipline.
• Experience working with environmental regulators to seek favourable outcomes.
• Knowledge of UK Environmental Permitting/Pollution Prevention Control regimes.

Responsibilities

• Support technical delivery of industrial environmental permitting projects.
• Develop client proposals and build and maintain client relationships.
• Ensure client satisfaction through project communication and engagement.
• Work with regulators to support cliente positions with precedent or impact assessment.
• Collaborate on projects across Northern Europe and potentially wider EMEA programmes.
