Job summary

Engineering Trades Australia is seeking experienced Industrial Painters, Blasters, and Painter/Blasters for workshop roles in Newcastle, NSW. You will work on large-scale mining and industrial equipment in a professional workshop setting, with ongoing and project-based opportunities.

Up to $56 per hour + penalties, with overtime and weekend work available. Tomago and Newcastle workshop locations; join experienced teams and contribute to high-quality coatings and blasting work.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial painting and/or abrasive blasting experience.
• Strong understanding of surface preparation and coating systems.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime when available.

Responsibilities

• Perform abrasive blasting and surface preparation.
• Carry out industrial spray painting and protective coating application.
• Prepare steel and fabricated components to specification.
• Gasket on large mining and industrial equipment.
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety requirements.
• Follow site procedures and WHS requirements.
