Job summary

Zeal Personnel is seeking experienced Abrasive Blasters / Industrial Painters for ongoing workshop assignments at Naval Base. You will perform surface preparation, apply epoxy and anti-corrosive coatings, and ensure PPE compliance.

High‑risk work Licence is preferred; EWP advantageous. You must supply your own blasting helmet and respirator to meet site safety requirements. This is stable, local workshop work in a heavy industry environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial abrasive blasting and protective coating application within heavy civil, mining, or Oil & Gas environments.
• High-Risk Work Licence (Forklift / LF preferred; EWP advantageous).
• You must supply your own blasting helmet and respirator to meet site safety equipment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Abrasive Blast Cleaning: execute surface preparation to strip corrosion, mill scale, and failing linings.
• Protective Coating Application: apply epoxy, polyurethane, and anti-corrosive systems.
• Lead Paint Abatement: perform certified containment and remediation of legacy coatings.
• Passive Fire Protection (PFP): apply intumescent coatings per project specs.

About The Opportunity

Zeal Personnel is seeking experienced Abrasive Blasters / Industrial Painters for ongoing workshop assignments located in Naval Base.

Our client delivers integrated maintenance, fabrication, procurement, construction, and installation services across the Oil & Gas, Mining, Construction, and Petrochemical sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Abrasive Blast Cleaning: Execute surface preparation using specialised media to strip corrosion, mill scale, and failing linings, creating specified anchor profiles.
• Protective Coating Application: Apply high-durability epoxy, polyurethane, and anti-corrosive lining systems engineered for harsh industrial environments.
• Lead Paint Abatement: Perform certified, compliant containment and remediation of legacy lead-based coatings under strict environmental and safety controls.
• Passive Fire Protection (PFP): Apply intumescent coatings and structural PFP systems to project specifications.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience in industrial abrasive blasting and protective coating application within heavy civil, mining, or Oil & Gas environments.
• High-Risk Work Licence (Forklift / LF preferred; EWP advantageous).
• Strong commitment to workplace Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards and PPE compliance.
