Job summary

MPA Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established engineering company in Kilrea for an experienced Industrial Painter. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with a reputable employer.

Role involves preparing metal surfaces, applying coatings, and operating spray equipment with strict quality checks. You must have industrial painting experience and your own vehicle for the rural site location. Working hours are Mon-Thu, 7:00am–5:15pm, with a three-day weekend each week.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Industrial Painter in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Experience using industrial spray painting equipment and applying protective coatings.
• Not suitable for household painters; must have industrial/manufacturing experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must have access to your own vehicle due to site location.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces for painting (cleaning, sanding, masking).
• Apply industrial coatings and paints to engineering components and fabricated products.
• Operate spray painting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Carry out quality inspections to ensure a high standard of finish.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
