At Labcorp in Harrogate, we are looking to recruit a Trainee Operational Support Technician to join our expanding team.

As a leading contract research organization (CRO), Labcorp provides comprehensive drug development solutions for a range of industries. Job responsibilities include:

• Breakdown and cleaning of animal/laboratory equipment.
• Operation of industrial cleaning equipment including rack, bottle, and pressure washers.
• Cleaning of facility corridors, procedure, and empty animal rooms. Ensuring enclosures are cleaned in accordance with clear instructions and maintained to the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Ensuring equipment is safe for use, checking, and raising repair requests.
• Logistic tasking with receipt, storage, issue, and disposal of all items entering a busy facility.
• Operation of mechanical handling equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining regulatory waste streams.
• Accurate recording of data to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards both IT and written documentation.

Education/Qualifications

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Experience

• Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-turnover industrial cleaning role.
• Previous experience of working in a logistics field is beneficial.
• Basic IT skills with focus on MS Office 365.
• RTITB Forklift experience is beneficial but not required.
