Talentometry has partnered with an Industrial Automation Engineering Consultancy to expand their Industrial ICT team. Clients include Defence, large multinational industrial entities, and the UK Government.

The role involves travel to various UK sites (travel time paid). Key responsibilities include:

1. Network Management: Design, configure, and maintain networks, monitor performance, troubleshoot, and optimize efficiency.
2. Server and Client Configuration & Support: Manage servers and client systems, ensuring stability, security, and performance.
3. Patch Management: Implement and oversee updates to ensure security and address vulnerabilities.
4. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement backup solutions for data safety.
5. Collaboration and Documentation: Work with teams and maintain documentation of configurations and procedures.
6. Monitoring and Reporting: Use tools to track performance and generate reports.
7. User Support: Provide technical support and resolve issues promptly.

About You: Candidates should have experience underpinning critical infrastructure or live production systems, with the following skills:

• Minimum 5 years’ practical experience
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, wireless networks
• Experience with network security protocols
• CISCO CCNA or equivalent

You may also have or work with:

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
• SOC, SIEM, SNMP
• Interest in IoT/OT/ICS
