Talentometry has partnered with an Industrial Automation Engineering Consultancy to expand their Industrial ICT team. Clients include Defence, large multinational industrial entities, and the UK Government.

The role involves travel across UK sites (travel time paid). Key responsibilities include:

• Network Management: Design, configure, and maintain networks, including switching, routing, security, and wireless tech. Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and optimize networks.
• Server and Client Configuration & Support: Manage servers and client systems for stability, security, and performance. Install and maintain hardware and software.
• Patch Management: Implement processes for system updates and security patches. Stay updated on threats and vulnerabilities.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement data backup solutions.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Work with teams to meet IT needs. Document configurations and procedures.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Use tools to track performance and security. Generate reports.
• User Support: Provide technical support to end-users.

About You: Candidates should have experience managing systems critical to live production or infrastructure, with:

• At least 5 years’ practical experience.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, wireless networks.
• Experience with network security protocols.
• CISCO CCNA or equivalent certification.

Preferred/Additional Skills:

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
• SOC, SIEM, SNMP.
• Interest in IoT/OT/ICS.
• Experience with network management tools.
