Job summary

Join LJ Recruitment for an experienced Industrial Mechanical Engineer role in a hands‑on workshop environment in the United Kingdom. You will strip, repair, rebuild, test and manufacture equipment all under one roof, with diagnosis and painting carried out on site.

The role offers premium-rate overtime and call‑outs, with a 39‑hour week, 25 days’ holiday, a company pension, and on‑site facilities including parking and a canteen. A Full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in pump/electrical motor repair.
• 5+ years' mechanical/electrical engineering experience.
• Strong mechanical experience with industrial fans, motors, pumps and machinery.
• Electrical experience would be highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of electrical controls.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Practical, hands‑on approach with strong fault‑finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Strip, repair, rebuild and test a wide range of industrial equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs in a fully equipped workshop.
• Manufacture and rebuild parts on site.
• Work in a workshop where diagnosis, repair, manufacturing, rebuilding, testing and painting can be carried out on site.
• Overtime and call‑out opportunities are available at premium rates.

Are you an experienced Industrial Mechanical Engineer looking for a hands‑on workshop role where you can strip, repair, rebuild, test and manufacture equipment all under one roof?

We're looking for an experienced engineer to join an established workshop team, working on a wide range of industrial equipment.

The Role

• Single & three-phase electric motors
• Industrial gearboxes
• Fans and blower units
• Industrial pumps, including freshwater and sewage
• Other industrial machinery

You will work in a fully equipped workshop where diagnosis, repair, manufacturing, rebuilding, testing and painting can all be carried out on site.

Overtime and call‑out opportunities are available and are paid at premium rates.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years' experience in pump/electrical motor repair
• 5+ years' mechanical/electrical engineering experience
• Strong mechanical experience with industrial fans, motors, pumps and machinery
