Job description

Wise Employment are recruiting for Industrial Manufacturing Operatives based in Plymouth on a permanent basis.

Hours and Salary:Monday Thursday 7am 5.30pm working 40hrs per week with a 3-day weekend! GBP25,397 per annum plus lots of opportunity for overtime at excellent rates.

Over time: Flexibility is required. If working Monday Thursday (after having worked the standard 40 hours) or Friday the hourly equivalent pay rate is GBP15.26 per hour, Saturday is GBP18.32 per hour and Sunday s/Bank Holidays is GBP24.42 per hour.

As an Industrial Manufacturing Operative, you will need to have experience and understanding of manufacturing processes. The company have new exciting and interesting projects all through the year and are expanding so require Industrial Manufacturing Operatives.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous Manufacturing / Production / Engineering / Construction knowledge is required
  • Able to understand technical drawings, and apply technical information.
  • Fitting and assembly skills including the use of hand tools and marking/measuring out materials.
  • Ability to learn and integrate new skills.
  • Efficient at communicating throughout all levels of an organisation.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Aspiring and keen to advance within the organisation.

Day to Day Duties:

  • Work productively and safely in compliance with the company s systems of work.
  • Minimise waste by using materials and consumable items efficiently.
  • Maintain good levels of workmanship and traceability.
  • Measuring and inspecting products using a variety of equipment.
  • Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when required.
  • Keep work area clean and tidy at all times.

Training and Additional Information:

  • Participate in training where required.
  • This role may also be subject to a Drug and Alcohol test.
