Job description

Today, Dagenham is a world-class engine production facility, specialising in the manufacture of advanced diesel engines. The plant has the capacity to produce up to 1.4 million engines annually, making it one of Ford’s largest and most important engine manufacturing sites globally.


Location: Dagenham, Essex.
Contract Type: 12-month FTC
Salary: Hourly rate £ 21.809 plus allowances.

Qualifications

Specialist Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and fluid power principles.
  • Familiarity with fault diagnostics and condition monitoring techniques.
  • Ability to interpret equipment functions and operating parameters.

Specialist Skills:

  • Skilled in maintaining and repairing high-tech engineered systems.
  • Proficient in reading technical documentation and performing confirmation testing.
  • Capable of contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

  • Level 3 Apprenticeship in Mechatronics Maintenance or equivalent

  • Diagnose and repair faults in complex automated systems.
  • Maintain mechanical, fluid power, electrical, electronic, and process control equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical documentation and data.
  • Support equipment installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce downtime.
