Job Title: Maintenance Technician A

Location: Lancaster, TX

Shift: Days!! 8:00 am - 5:30 pm Mon- Fri

Summary

The Maintenance Technician will provide technical solutions to automation-related tasks including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, implementation of fixes, and documentation of solutions. Responsible for designing SOPs, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automation equipment including logic controllers and HMI devices used in production. Must have broad knowledge of process machinery, electrical controls, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems essential to plant and production equipment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in procurement of parts and planning repairs
  • Leading complex projects, preventive maintenance, and repairs
  • Operating CMMS systems to complete work orders and log maintenance issues
  • Communicating effectively with technical support and production staff to troubleshoot and interpret diagrams
  • Performing electrical repairs on PLC controls, motor controls, and testing equipment
  • Reading schematics, drawings, and manuals to establish facts and draw conclusions
  • Supporting company objectives related to productivity, quality, safety, and cost
  • Performing daily inspections, emergency repairs, and routine maintenance
  • Maintaining organized documentation for audits
  • Adhering to workplace conduct, GMP, safety policies, and OSHA requirements
  • Supporting process improvement projects and safety teams
  • Possessing proficient troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Using measurement instruments like multimeters
  • Knowledge of Electrical Code and working with single and three-phase voltage
  • Reading/mechanical blueprints and schematics
  • Troubleshooting and repairing Allen-Bradley PLCs
  • Applying math skills in daily activities

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 years of industrial controls experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Trade school certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to follow directions and take ownership of tasks
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Gmail, Excel

Abilities:

  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Work effectively under pressure
  • Use powered and non-powered tools
  • Assess and resolve mechanical and electrical problems
  • Walk, bend, stand, reach for extended periods
