Qualifications

• Strong academic & technical background (ACA, CFA, MBA or equivalent).
• Significant experience within M&A advisory in an investment bank, Big 4, private equity, M&A Boutique/top firm or corporate development.
• Proven track record of generating competitive sell and buy-side mandates in M&A advisory.
• Prev. Industrials experience, in-house or via deal origination/execution preferred.
• Strong numerical, analytical and strategic thinking; financial modelling experience.
• Transactional experience across all phases from origination to completion.
• Excellent communication skills with credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to build, motivate and develop high-calibre teams.
• Personal drive to deliver results and ambition to impact a growing sector team.
• Commitment to high quality standards, attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines.
• Personable approach with ability to build confidence and trust with colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities

• Deal origination: lead in developing deal flow using a network of high-level contacts for buy and sell-side mandates.
• Ensure rigorous and efficient execution delivery; stay engaged throughout processes.
• Business development to grow the Firm's regional strength and share best-practice strategies.
• Manage internal relationships to extend the Firm's reach and brand in M&A advisory.
• Team development: coach and motivate an experienced team; balance origination with delivery.
• Establish credibility and manage relationships with external parties including intermediaries and advisors.
• Play a central role in decision making and the growth of the team and broader M&A advisory business.
