Job summary

Contract Personnel Limited is recruiting Laundry Operatives for the Fakenham area. Own transport is essential due to the site location.

You will handle, sort, wash, dry and finish laundry items in a busy environment, following health and safety procedures and quality standards.

Hours are Monday to Friday with shifts of 06:00-14:30 and 14:30-23:00; weekly pay is provided and 28 days of holiday are accrued for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Previous laundry or production experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness to work in warm, humid conditions.

Responsibilities

• Sorting & Loading: Sorting dirty laundry by type, colour, or cleaning requirements; loading and unloading industrial washers and dryers.
• Operating Equipment: Using commercial laundry machinery including washers, dryers, folders, and presses (training provided).
• Folding & Packing: Folding, pressing, and preparing clean laundry for dispatch or delivery.
• Quality Control: Inspecting items for cleanliness, damage, or staining; identifying items needing rewash or repair.
• Health & Safety: Following health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times, including safe manual handling and use of PPE.
• General Housekeeping: Keeping work areas clean, tidy, and organised to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Any other duties as required
