Job summary

IT Search in Larne is seeking an Industrial IT Infrastructure Specialist to join a global manufacturing organisation. The role is on-site in Larne with a £35K-£40K salary plus bonus and involves hands-on support across servers, networks, hardware, endpoints and IoT devices.

You will work with IIS, SQL and Veeam, partner with plant engineers and central IT, and contribute to security, change management and business continuity while delivering digital manufacturing initiatives.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on IT infrastructure experience across networks, servers, hardware, endpoints and/or IoT.
• Experience with Windows Server, IIS, SQL, Veeam or similar.
• Knowledge of ITIL, security, compliance and change management.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and prioritisation skills.
• Hands-on troubleshooting for hardware and software.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial or engineering environments.
• Must have full UK working rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on IT infrastructure support across servers, networks, hardware, endpoints and IoT devices.
• Support infrastructure technologies including IIS, SQL and Veeam.
• Collaborate with plant engineers, Manufacturing IT, MES and central infrastructure teams.
• Troubleshoot issues and drive resolution.
• Support IT security, compliance, change management and business continuity.
• Contribute to Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing initiatives.
• Engage with suppliers and technology vendors.
• Participate in an on-call rota (~1 week per month).

We are currently recruiting for an Industrial IT Infrastructure Specialist to join a global manufacturing organisation in Larne.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on with IT infrastructure and wants to work close to the heart of a manufacturing operation.

We’re looking for someone with solid experience across both hardware AND software.

This role requires someone who is comfortable working with the physical infrastructure and hardware that supports a manufacturing environment.

This is a fully on site position in Larne and the salary guidance is £35K - £40K p.a. plus bonus

What will you be doing?

• Providing hands-on IT infrastructure support across servers, networks, hardware, endpoints and IoT devices
• Supporting infrastructure technologies including IIS, SQL and Veeam
• Working closely with plant engineers, Manufacturing IT, MES and central infrastructure teams
• Troubleshooting issues and taking ownership through to resolution
• Supporting IT security, compliance, change management and business continuity
• Helping deliver Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing initiatives
• Working with suppliers and technology vendors
• Participating in an on-call rota of approximately 1 week per month

Key requirements:

• Degree/HND in IT or relevant practical experience
• 4+ years hands-on IT infrastructure experience across networks, servers, hardware, endpoints and/or IoT
• Experience with Windows Server, IIS, SQL, Veeam or similar
• Knowledge of ITIL, security, compliance and change management
• Strong communication, problem-solving and prioritisation skills
• A hands-on approach to troubleshooting both hardware and software
• Ideally, experience in a manufacturing, industrial or engineering environment
