Industrial Gas Engineer – Overview

Low Carbon Recruitment Ltd is collaborating with one of the UK’s largest Energy Management companies, boasting over 30 years of experience in maintaining District Heat Networks, Energy Centres, and Commercial Plant Rooms across the UK. They are seeking an experienced Gas Engineer interested in developing their skillset within the District Heating sector to join their team in the North West.

The role involves serving as a Combustion Engineer responsible for servicing, maintenance, breakdown, and fault-finding tasks within commercial plant rooms and district heating/energy centres.

You will work on industrial boilers up to 5MW, industrial burners, steam boilers, LTHW systems, CHP units, and renewable technologies such as biomass and heat pumps. The primary location is around Middlesbrough and surrounding areas, with occasional work further afield. The company offers travel pay and other benefits.

Requirements include:

1. ACS Commercial Gas tickets
2. Experience with industrial boilers, burners, or steam boilers
3. 2-3 years of experience in commercial heating and plant room works
4. Experience with district heating (advantageous)
5. Full UK driving license
