Job summary

Ltek Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service and repair industrial machinery across the UK. The role emphasizes electrical fault finding, control systems diagnostics and installation of new machinery, with field-based travel and training opportunities.

The successful engineer will read electrical drawings, handle PLC I/O, motors, sensors, and drives, and perform preventative maintenance in manufacturing environments. Some overseas travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Electrical fault finding and controls background
• Reading electrical drawings and schematics
• Motors, sensors and drives experience
• Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge
• PLC fault finding / PLC I/O

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and repair of industrial machinery
• Electrical and control system fault finding
• Diagnosing faults from first principles
• Installation and commissioning of new machinery
• Planned preventative maintenance
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
• Working with motors, sensors, drives and control panels
• Fault finding on pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Providing technical support to customers
• Working independently at customer sites
