Job summary

SimWest Engineering Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair industrial machinery at customer sites across the UK, with overseas travel to Europe. You will diagnose faults, perform basic electrical checks, complete service reports, and support workshop activities at the Greater Manchester area workshop when not on site.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience maintaining, servicing or repairing industrial machinery.
• Good practical mechanical skills and fault-finding ability.
• Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong communication and willingness to travel across the UK and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial machinery.
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out practical repairs.
• Performing basic electrical checks and fault-finding on sensors, relays and cabling.
• Responding to breakdowns and resolving machinery problems.
• Supporting machinery installations and providing technical advice to customers.
• Completing service reports and maintenance records.
• Assisting with machinery assembly and testing at the workshop.
