Job description

Here within the @One Alliance, we are a collaborative organization made up of our eight partner companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska, and SWECO) and our extended supply chain. Together, we deliver over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.

To help us achieve our ambitious targets and deliver projects on time and within budget, we are looking for an Industrial Electrician to join our team.

What you will be doing as our Industrial Electrician

You will be part of our growing M&E team within the water industry within the @One Alliance. This is a great opportunity to be part of a new team and help influence its growth.

This role involves installing electrical equipment at Anglian Water clean water and wastewater sites, ensuring health and safety standards are always met and issues are resolved efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install electrical equipment for water treatment works (Anglian Water) to Barhale standards.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and method statements to ensure safety compliance.
  • Work competently from drawings and scopes of work to a high standard.
  • Perform industrial installations including steel containment, power, ICA wiring, telemetry, and fault finding.
  • Meet customer targets, including working overtime when necessary.
  • Mentor improvers and apprentices.
  • Assist with commissioning and testing of installations.
  • Follow all company and client safety and operational rules.
  • Engage with management for planning and delivering work.
  • Procure materials and equipment promptly.
  • Support site teams with daily operations.
  • Identify and report site issues for resolution.
  • Deliver projects within water industry standards, on time and within budget.
  • Willing to work away from home for short periods, depending on project and training needs.
Key Measures & Targets
  • Performance is measured on health & safety record, quality, and timeliness of delivery.
  • Planning and organizing materials and equipment.
  • Maintaining tidy and organized vehicles and tools.
  • Targets set during Personal Development Reviews.
  • Opportunities for career advancement to roles such as Supervisor and LV Authorized Person, with training provided.

Person Specification

The successful candidate should meet these criteria:

  • Enthusiastic and ambitious personality
  • Completed a time-served electrical apprenticeship
  • Experience with electrical installations in the water industry
  • CSCS ECS Gold Card
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
  • C&G 2391 or equivalent qualification
  • Full UK driving license
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Knowledgeable in electrical installations
  • Leadership qualities in health, safety, quality, and environmental standards; training can be provided for complex obligations.
