Job summary

Gearing Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team, working on electrical installations, maintenance and repair across water and wastewater treatment sites. The successful candidate will carry out electrical works, fault finding, planned preventative maintenance and ensure all equipment and systems operate safely and efficiently.

Experience in the water industry is highly desirable, though candidates with a strong industrial electrical background

Responsibilities

• Carrying out electrical installation, maintenance and repair work on industrial equipment and systems.
• Fault finding, diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults.
• Working on motors, pumps, control panels, instrumentation and associated electrical equipment.
• Undertaking planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Installing, testing and commissioning electrical equipment.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with current electrical regulations and health and safety requirements.
• Completing job sheets, maintenance records and relevant site documentation.
• Working alongside other trades and site teams to ensure projects and maintenance activities are completed efficiently.

Experience within the water industry would be highly desirable, although candidates with a strong industrial electrical background from other sectors will also be considered.
