Job Description:

Salary and Benefits:

Working Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Major Job Functions:

  • Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical distribution systems and related equipment/lighting systems.
  • Inspect and test electrical system components, including transformers, transfer switches, and switchgear.
  • Use blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals to complete projects.
  • Survey electrical systems, circuits, and plans.
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand and power tools; terminate power/control/monitoring wiring.

Specific Skills:

  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills

Knowledge:

Deep understanding and extensive experience in electrical systems

Accountability:

Work on industrial and commercial projects (not domestic). Comply with BS 7671 (18th Edition) wiring regulations, national electric codes, and NICEIC requirements.

Education and Experience:

  • CSCS Electrician grade/JIB card
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
  • Test & Inspection 2394/2395 (or 2391)
  • Full UK driver’s license
  • Experience in fire alarm installation
  • Containment installation (ladder, tray, basket, galvanised conduit)
  • Desirable: Confined space, PASMA, MEWPs/IPAF, First Aid, CompEx, and SSSTS or SMSTS qualifications
