Industrial Electrician

Blue Arrow is seeking a qualified and experienced Industrial Electrician to join our growing team. This is a critical role supporting the electrical installation and servicing of high-security and industrial systems, including work on sensitive government sites. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in industrial environments-not domestic-who can consistently deliver work to the highest standards.

Location: Commutable distance from our Northern office
Salary: Up to £48,000 + Overtime
Travel: Willingness to work away from home (up to 2 weeks), typically Monday-Thursday
Clearance: Must be eligible for UK Government Security Clearance



Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair electrical faults in control panels and automated door systems

Wire both new and existing control panels for high-security and industrial doors

Install various types of industrial containment (trunking, tray, conduit, etc.)

Perform electrical inspection and testing in line with current UK regulations

Interpret and work from electrical schematics and technical drawings

Collaborate with engineers and site teams to ensure timely, safe delivery of projects

Ensure full compliance with site-specific security and safety procedures

Maintain accurate documentation, including test certificates and service records

Travel regularly to customer sites, including secure government facilities



Essential Requirements:

Fully qualified to current UK electrical standards (City & Guilds 2365, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent)

City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing)

ECS Gold Card or equivalent recognised industry certification

Strong experience in fault-finding and control panel wiring

Proven experience with industrial containment systems

Full UK Driving Licence

Must be eligible for UK Government Security Clearance (background checks apply)

Comfortable with frequent travel and working away when required



Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

Experience working on secure or high-risk industrial sites

Familiarity with high-security or automated door systems

IPAF, PASMA, or SSSTS certification (highly preferred)
