Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems is essential.

  • Experience with fire alarm installation and containment installation.

Job Description:

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary £20.21 per hour (basic)

Working Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Major Job Functions:

  • Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical distribution systems and related equipment/lighting systems
  • Inspect and test components such as transformers, transfer switches, and switchgear
  • Use blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manuals to complete projects
  • Survey electrical systems, circuits, and plans
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand and power tools; terminate power/control/monitoring wiring

Specific Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive rapport with customers and colleagues
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills

Knowledge:

Deep understanding and extensive experience in electrical systems

Accountability:

Work on industrial and commercial projects (not domestic). Comply with BS 7671 (18th Edition) wiring regulations and national electrical codes. Familiarity with NICEIC requirements.

Education and Experience:

  • CSCS Electrician grade/JIB card
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
  • Test & Inspection 2394/2395 (or 2391)
  • Full UK driver's license
  • Experience with fire alarm installation
  • Containment installation experience (ladder/tray/basket/galvanized conduit)

Desirable qualifications include confined space, PASMA, MEWPs/IPAF, first aid, CompEx, and SMSTS/SSSTS certifications.
