Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an Industrial Electrician in Gosport to support installation, service and maintenance of UPS and critical power systems at customer sites.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical installations, with three-phase systems and a willingness to travel across the UK. Salary £35,000–£45,000 DOE, Monday–Friday, full-time.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation with AM2 (or equivalent).
• 3 years of industrial electrical installation, service or maintenance experience.
• Experience with three-phase systems and industrial power equipment.
• UPS systems or battery installation experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain and repair UPS and critical power systems at customer sites.
• Install and replace battery systems and related connections.
• Work with three-phase systems and industrial power equipment.
• Fault find, diagnose and rectify UPS and electrical issues.
• Conduct site surveys with sales to estimate requirements, materials and costs.
• Order materials and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Provide technical support to customers, colleagues and subcontractors.

My client is a leading supplier of UPS and generator systems across the UK, providing critical power solutions to a wide range of commercial and industrial customers. They are looking to bring an electrically qualified, hands-on engineer on board to support their installation, service and maintenance operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong industrial electrical background, with experience working on power equipment, three-phase systems and electrical installations. Experience with UPS systems and battery replacements would be advantageous, although training will be provided on the company's products. This role would suit an industrial electrician looking to develop their expertise in critical power systems.

Industrial Electrician Job Overview

• Carrying out installation, servicing, maintenance and repairs of UPS and critical power systems at customer sites
• Installing and replacing battery systems, including associated electrical connections and equipment
• Working with three-phase electrical systems and industrial power equipment
• Undertaking fault finding, diagnostics and rectification of electrical and UPS-related issues
• Conducting site surveys alongside sales staff to assess installation requirements, materials and costs
• Ordering materials and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently

Industrial Electrician Job Requirements

• Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation with AM2, or HNC/HND/BSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years' industrial electrical installation, service or maintenance experience
• Experience working with three-phase systems, industrial power equipment or electrical installations
• UPS systems, battery installations or critical power experience would be advantageous
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
• City & Guilds 2391 inspection and testing qualification desirable
• CSCS card desirable
• Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK
• Based within a commutable distance of Gosport
