Job summary

Stanair Industrial Doors in Peterborough is seeking an Industrial Door / Field Service Engineer to service, repair and install industrial doors, loading bays and access equipment. The role is full-time with standard hours Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00 and on-call overtime.

You will work mainly within a 30-mile radius, with a company vehicle provided, and benefits including a contributory pension, 31 days holiday, healthcare and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical skills with ability to diagnose faults and repair.
• Able to work on own initiative with a flexible, team-oriented attitude.
• Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Confident working at heights.
• Desirable: experience with industrial doors, welding, electrical qualifications, IPAF/PASMA/CSCS.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, repair, and installation of industrial doors, loading bay and access equipment.
• Coverage of emergency call-out rota (1 week in 12).
• Typical hours Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00 with overtime as required.

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum (35K - 45K OTE)

Overview

This is an opportunity to join one of the leading specialist industrial door companies with over 50 years of trading history and a leading name in our sector. We are looking for individuals to join our 'family' to continue to provide the high standard of workmanship in regard to the repair, installation and servicing of industrial doors and related equipment.

Due to the increasing demand for our services, we are looking to expand, without losing the company's focus on a good work / life balance. The majority of the work is still within a 30-mile radius meaning nights away and unreasonable daily mileage is usually not necessary.

The Role

Servicing, repair, and installation of industrial doors, loading bay and access equipment.

Standard working hours are Monday to Friday between 08:00 to 17:00, with overtime as required usually as part of an engineering team.

Covering our emergency call out rota is also required - currently 1 week in 12. An additional standby fee, call out fee and overtime are paid.

Those with transferable skills such as a mechanical mindset would be welcome to apply.
