Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an Industrial Cleaning Operative to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene across the mill and site facilities.

The role involves carrying out routine and scheduled cleaning duties, using appropriate methods and equipment, and adhering to GMP standards. A reliable, independent worker with good English and basic IT skills will fit well.

Aufgaben

• Carry out routine and scheduled cleaning throughout the mill and site buildings.
• Clean floors, stairways, platforms, equipment surrounds and access routes.
• Remove flour, grain, dust and other materials using appropriate cleaning methods.
• Undertake high-level cleaning duties where trained and authorised.
• Ensure tasks are completed in line with cleaning schedules and GMP standards.
• Safely use cleaning equipment, machinery and chemicals.
• Maintain cleaning tools and storage areas in clean, serviceable condition.
• Follow colour-coded cleaning procedures to prevent cross-contamination.
• Report damaged or defective cleaning equipment.
• Carry out IPM duties as required.
• Identify and report hazards, spillages and maintenance issues.

You'll help maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene across the mill and site facilities, carrying out routine and scheduled industrial cleaning duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and scheduled cleaning throughout the mill and associated site buildings.
• Clean floors, stairways, platforms, equipment surrounds, access routes and other designated areas.
• Remove flour, grain, dust and other materials using appropriate cleaning methods and equipment.
• Undertake high-level cleaning duties where trained and authorised.
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed in line with cleaning schedules, GMP standards and site procedures.
• Safely use cleaning equipment, machinery and chemicals.
• Maintain cleaning tools, equipment and storage areas in a clean and serviceable condition.
• Follow colour-coded cleaning procedures to prevent cross-contamination.
• Report damaged, missing, contaminated or defective cleaning equipment.
• Carry out Integrated Pest Management (IPM) duties as required.
• Identify and report hazards, spillages, defects and maintenance issues.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of health and safety practices.

• Basic IT skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities effectively.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good communication skills and a positive team-working attitude.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety.

Desirable/Advantageous

• Experience within a food manufacturing, milling, warehouse, industrial or cleaning environment is desirable but not essential.
• Experience completing cleaning records, schedules and inspection checklists would be advantageous.
• Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.
