Job summary

Vateris is seeking a hands-on Chemist to develop and scale chemical processes from laboratory to industrial production in the United Kingdom. The role blends process development, product innovation, and analytical chemistry to translate lab chemistry into reliable, scalable processes.

You will work across amine chemistry, crystallisation and purification, translating laboratory chemistry into commercially viable industrial processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet

Qualifications

Must have 5–10 years of relevant industrial experience in chemical process development or related fields.
Experience translating lab processes to pilot and production scale.
Strong analytical interpretation and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Develop, optimise and scale chemical processes from lab to production.
Design experiments to improve reaction conditions, crystallisation, product properties and yield.
Troubleshoot chemical and process problems using root-cause analysis.
Develop and characterise new products and adjacent processes.
Establish analytical methods, product specs, SOPs and QC procedures.
Collaborate with process engineers and production teams to implement improvements.
