Job summary

G Force Engineering & Manufacturing are recruiting an experienced CDM Site Manager to support a major industrial construction project in Dunbar, Scotland. You will ensure CDM compliance and safe, coordinated civils works with piling and foundations for a new silo.

Qualifications

• CDM advisory and site management experience.
• Experience overseeing industrial civils, piling and groundwork packages.
• Strong knowledge of construction health and safety requirements.
• Experience managing contractors and coordinating site activities.
• Ability to review RAMS, permits and construction-phase documentation.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Hands-on approach; ability to challenge unsafe practices.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the civils contractor and monitoring day-to-day site activities.
• Supervising piling, foundations and associated groundworks for the new silo.
• Maintaining and updating the Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan.
• Organising and leading regular CPHSP progress meetings.
• Ensuring permits, risk assessments and method statements are issued, reviewed and kept up to date.
• Monitoring contractor performance, progress and compliance with agreed requirements.
• Ensuring works are completed to the required quality and standard.
• Supporting a smooth handover from the civils phase to the mechanical and electrical construction teams.
• Maintaining effective communication with the client, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Promoting a safe, well-managed and professional site environment.
