Job summary

VolkerLaser, part of VolkerWessels UK, is seeking an experienced Blasting and Spraying Technician based in South Queensferry. You will deliver surface preparation to SA2-SA3 standards and apply primers/topcoats on bridge and infrastructure projects.

The role requires at least 4 years in industrial blasting and spray painting, ICATS Gold or TTP Gold certification, a CSCS card, and strong safety focus. Travel across the Central Belt of Scotland and beyond will be needed.

Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years' experience in industrial blasting and spray painting.
Current ICATS Gold or TTP Gold certification.
Experience spraying concrete structures for bridges and infrastructure projects.
Valid CSCS card.

Responsibilities

Perform surface preparation to required standards (SA2-SA3, ST2-ST3).
Apply primers, intermediate coats and topcoats to specified thickness using brush and spray techniques.
Operate and maintain blasting and airless spray equipment safely and efficiently.
Follow industry specs including SHW5000, SHW1900 and Network Rail M24.
Identify and report coating defects and ensure quality workmanship.
