Please note: You must be a full UK citizen living and working in the UK to be considered. Relevant industrial automation application support experience covering electric drives, pneumatics, control systems, and PLC programming is required.

This is a great opportunity to join a leading industrial automation equipment supplier as an Application Engineer covering South East UK. The role is remote, based in the South East of the UK.

The Application Engineer provides technical consulting and solutions for key Industrial Automation applications to the Sales Teams during the pre-sales phase across various industry segments. The role requires expertise in commissioning, software, and controls functionalities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Translate multi-technological solutions into detailed designs in pneumatics, mechanical, electrical, and software fields using the latest technologies.
2. Assess technical feasibility based on industry and technology segment knowledge.
3. Prepare specification lists and technical elements for customer proposals.
4. Develop Requirement Specifications with customers.
5. Meet project deadlines and oversee project realization.
6. Report activities and manage project data accurately.
7. Address complaints with appropriate action plans.
8. Discuss machine concepts to optimize and define specifications.
9. Support account planning.
10. Act as an interface between customers and internal departments during pre-sales, in coordination with sales engineers.
11. Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to the team.
12. Assist with norms and regulations compliance.
13. Identify and support project wins.
14. Manage project commissioning at customer sites, coordinating technical activities.
15. Support marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
