Job summary

White Recruitment Construction in Manchester is seeking an Industrial Applications Engineer with a strong technical background in industrial pumps or process environments. The role focuses on ensuring technically sound, commercially compelling offers for industrial customers from an office base with international remit.

You will work with regional sales teams to craft end-to-end technical offers, perform energy savings calculations, ROI models, and engage with engineers and managers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
• 8-12 years of experience in industrial pumps, heavy industrial or process environments.
• Experience in application engineering, technical offer creation, or process engineering.
• Experience working with industrial sales teams.
• Ability to read and analyse P&IDs and process schematics.
• Competency in boilers, pumps, chillers, cooling towers.
• System-level solution design for process applications.
• Build energy savings calculations, ROI models, and carbon reduction cases.
• Familiarity with protection classes, IP ratings, and hazardous area compliance.

Responsibilities

• Work with regional sales teams to create end-to-end technical offers for industrial customers.
• Own the end-to-end creation of technical offers for industrial customers.
• Ensure offers are technically accurate and application-appropriate.
• Select and specify solution architecture across heating, cooling, water transfer, and high-pressure applications.
• Build energy savings calculations, ROI models, and lifecycle cost cases.
• Engage with plant engineers, process managers, and energy managers.
• Conduct site assessments and process audits to map system architectures.
• Analyse P&IDs.
