Oak Tree Primary School in Burgess Hill is seeking a dedicated Individual Pupil Support Teaching Assistant to provide focused support to a pupil with an EHCP and, when needed, assist with general classroom duties across the academy.
You will work closely with teachers to nurture independence, resilience, and confidence in learners. The role emphasises safeguarding, inclusion, and high expectations for all children.
At DMAT & Oak Tree Primary School, every child matters — and every member of our team plays a vital role in helping them reach their full potential.
As part of Durrington Multi Academy Trust, we are proud to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking community that believes in high standards, professional growth, and a shared moral purpose.
At Oak Tree, kindness, curiosity, and respect underpin everything we do — for our pupils, our families, and one another.
We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Individual Pupil Support Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our dedicated staff and make a real difference to children’s lives every single day.
This role is primarily to provide individual support to a pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
However, the post is not exclusively linked to one individual pupil. Depending on the needs and priorities of the academy, the postholder may be required to support other pupils, work with small groups or undertake general Teaching Assistant duties. Should the pupil leave the academy, or their individual support arrangements change, the postholder may be deployed to provide general classroom and pupil support across the academy, in line with the needs of the school and the requirements of the role.
.
You’ll work closely with teachers to bring learning to life — supporting individuals, encouraging independence, and helping every child to reach their full potential.
You’ll play a hands-on role, contribute to the wider life of the school, and be part of a warm, caring environment where children love to learn.
We’re looking for someone who:
