Job description

Salary: £8,010 per annum based on 10.5 hours per week (£26,700 FTE)

Length of post: Fixed term for 2 years with the possibility of extension

We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented administrator to join our Fundraising Team as an Individual Giving Assistant.

This role is vital in supporting our fundraising efforts, ensuring a seamless experience for our supporters, members, and donors.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Liaising with individual donors about their gifts and thanking them promptly and courteously.
  2. Managing appeals for specific projects and pledges, including gifts in wills.
  3. Keeping our support database updated with any changes.

Special features of the role:

The post holder will be an efficient administrator and customer-focused. Working closely with the membership and finance teams, the ideal candidate will have a positive, flexible approach and a can-do attitude. Experience in a fundraising administrative role, preferably in a charity or non-profit environment, is desirable.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Acknowledging donations, Gift Aid, and recording communications.
  • Administering legacy communications and liaising with donors and families.
  • Managing the memory leaf scheme.
  • Updating the central contact database.
  • Assisting with campaigns, appeals, and mailings.
  • Administering income generation schemes.

The closing date for applications is 09:00 on Tuesday 29 July 2025.

Interviews will be held on 12 August 2025 at our headquarters in Kendal, with potential second interviews on 19 August 2025.
