Job summary

KPMG International Limited is seeking a professional for a Tax Consulting role in Belfast. You will be part of a hybrid working model, managing an indirect tax portfolio for various clients and working closely with partners on compliance and advisory tasks.

• Minimum of three years in a professional environment.
• Ability to liaise with HM Revenue & Customs on client's behalf.
• Experience in training and monitoring associates.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for an indirect tax portfolio of NI, cross border & multinational clients.
• Work on tax compliance and advisory engagements with Partners and Directors.
• Advise clients on all relevant tax issues.

• Accounting and/or UK tax qualification (Chartered Accountant or equivalent, Chartered Institute of Tax)
• Strong technical knowledge of tax

Your responsibilities and achievements will evolve as you enhance your career with us. Here is what you can initially expect:

• Responsibility for an indirect tax portfolio of NI, cross border & multinational clients.
• Working with supportive Partners and Directors on both tax compliance and advisory engagements.
• Liaising with clients and advising on all relevant tax issues.
• Liaising with HM Revenue & Customs on client’s behalf and seeking rulings on certain tax positions.
• Responsibility for training and monitoring associates together with reviewing their work.
• Liaising with other departments e.g. Deal Advisory to ensure advice and projects are successfully completed.
• Strong interpersonal skills, drive and enthusiasm are a pre‑requisite for this role.
