Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Deploy global and regional sourcing strategies locally and ensure execution aligns with site priorities and business plans.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for spend areas not covered by GE Preferred Suppliers.
  • Drive cost-out, productivity, and cash improvement initiatives through supplier negotiations and process improvements.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing for CAPEX and indirect spend, including bid package development, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contracting.
  • Manage tactical execution of sourcing activities, including supplier onboarding, SOW support, invoicing and payment issue escalation, and supplier data management.
  • Promote GE Preferred Suppliers and collaborate with Commodity Leaders and Category Management to address gaps.
  • Ensure compliance with sourcing policies, audit readiness, and alignment with requirements.
  • Partner with Indirect Sourcing Leaders and cross-functional teams to drive scale, synergies, and cash improvements.
  • Contribute to global sourcing initiatives and share best practices to improve processes and stakeholder experience.

Job Description Summary

As an Indirect Sourcing Leader for the Electrification segment, you will lead the deployment and execution of indirect sourcing strategies at the local and regional level to support business objectives across assigned site(s). You will be accountable for delivering deflation, productivity, cash flow, and usage targets while ensuring sourcing activities align with business plans, investment priorities, customer requirements, and procurement policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will deploy global and regional sourcing strategies locally and ensure execution aligns with site priorities and business plans.
  • You will develop and implement sourcing strategies for spend areas not covered by GEV Preferred Suppliers.
  • You will drive cost-out, productivity, and cash improvement initiatives through supplier negotiations, process improvements, and sustainable cost controls, in close partnership with Finance and site stakeholders.
  • You will lead end-to-end sourcing for CAPEX and indirect spend, including bid package development, specification alignment, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contracting to secure the best value in cost, quality, and delivery.
  • You will manage and support the tactical execution of sourcing activities, including supplier onboarding, SOW support, invoicing and payment issue escalations, supplier data management, and escalation handling for delivery and quality issues.
  • You will promote the use of GE Preferred Suppliers and work with Commodity Leaders and Category Management teams to address sourcing needs not currently covered.
  • You will ensure compliance with sourcing and procurement policies, support audit readiness, and maintain alignment with business, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • You will partner with Indirect Sourcing Leaders, Commodity Leaders, Category teams, and local business leaders to leverage scale, drive synergies, strengthen supplier management, and deliver deflation and cash flow improvements.
  • You will contribute to global sourcing initiatives, share best practices, and help improve sourcing processes, tools, and stakeholder experience.
Scope
  • Scope of responsibility includes labor services (Engineering and Temporary Labor), MRO, Facilities, Professional Services, IT, Utilities, Capital Equipment and Travel (outside of Travel cards).
  • CIP certification is appreciated.
  • Commodity coverage may evolve based on business priorities, with flexibility to expand, reduce, or reallocate scope as required.
  • Geographic responsibility currently is UK, with the potential to adapt in line with organizational needs.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Sourcing, Business, Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Major progressive sourcing or procurement experience, ideally within indirect sourcing in a complex industrial or international environment.
  • Demonstrated track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management, with the ability to deliver measurable cost, productivity, and cash improvements.
  • Strong experience managing key indirect spend categories, preferably including contingent workforce (blue and white collars), engineering services, including complex Statements of Work, including both time- and material-and work package/deliverables-based contracting models.
  • Solid capabilities in sourcing analysis, data-driven decision-making, and spend management, with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate data into sourcing actions.
  • Strong commercial and contractual acumen, with proven ability to structure, negotiate, and manage contracts in support of business objectives and risk mitigation.
  • Good understanding of international business practices, sourcing processes, and cross-functional stakeholder management in a matrix organization.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Proficiency in a second European language is appreciated.
