Our Innovative Global Manufacturing Client has an opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join their Indirect Team.

Working within the Global Services Team, the Senior Buyer will be responsible for procuring a broad range of indirect goods and services to support the business needs. The Senior Buyer will purchase a wide range of products anmd services ranging from uniforms, professional services, FM, Cleaning etc. They will support Stakeholders across various locations.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for your category spend area
  • Prepare, coordinate and execute sourcing decisions for spend area
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process - issuing RFI's, tenders, commercial and contract negotiations
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and best commercial terms
  • Build strong working relationships with Supplier to discuss performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Meet with Suppliers to reveiw performance and build long standing relationships
  • Work closely with colleagues to understand their short-term and long-term procurement needs
  • Implement a Preferred Supplier List

Experience and knowledge required for the role:

  • Experience working in a similar procurement/sourcing role
  • Experience of sourcing and procuring indirect materials and services would be highly advantageous but not essential
  • End to end Procurement experience - Sourcing, Tendering and Supplier Management
  • Strong negotiation and commercial skills
  • Good communicator who enjoys building strong relationships with colleagues and suppliers
  • Can prioritise workload and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
