Job Title: Indirect Material Coordinator

Rate: £ - £ p/hr (£32,000 - £35,000 equivalent)

About the Opportunity:

Our client, a global leader in the industrial and energy sectors, is seeking an experienced Indirect Material Coordinator to join their dynamic Supply Chain team. This role involves coordinating the timely, compliant, and cost-effective distribution of indirect materials, including chemicals, consumables, and tools, across multiple operational sites.

We are looking for candidates who excel in logistics coordination, understand compliance standards, and can effectively manage stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate the efficient distribution of indirect (non-BOM) materials based on site priorities.
2. Ensure all tools meet compliance standards for inspection and calibration, collaborating with quality assurance.
3. Provide stakeholders with regular updates on purchase orders, delivery timelines, and upcoming activities.
4. Act as the escalation point for logistics issues, working with the Supply Chain Management team to resolve them.
5. Partner with suppliers and logistics providers to manage deliveries, reduce costs, and improve service.
6. Maintain accurate inventory levels and support internal teams with order placement and tracking.
7. Lead periodic logistics reviews to identify process improvements and support continuous development.
8. Stay informed on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and innovations in supply chain management.

Required Experience & Skills:

1. Experience in logistics, supply chain coordination, or inventory management.
2. Knowledge of compliance and calibration requirements for industrial tools and equipment.
3. Proficiency in supply chain software, asset management, and inventory systems.
4. Strong communication skills for managing stakeholders and resolving escalations.
5. Attention to detail, safety awareness, and proactive operational improvements.
6. Knowledge of international shipping and customs regulations is a plus.
7. Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
