Job summary

E3 Recruitment is assisting a global engineering and manufacturing leader in securing an Indirect Buyer based in Huddersfield. The role involves managing CAPEX machinery, facilities contracts, and maintenance supplier relationships, with a focus on process improvement and accurate SAP data handling.

The successful candidate will have experience in indirect purchasing within a technical environment, exposure to SAP or Salesforce, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to read engineering

Qualifications

• Experience as an Indirect Buyer or related roles within a technical environment.
• Experience reading engineering drawings.
• Ability to negotiate skilfully with internal and external groups.
• Experience with SAP or Salesforce is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Indirect Categories such as CAPEX Machinery, Facilities Contracts, and maintenance contracts.
• Develop and represent the supply chain department.
• Provide input and forecasts on supply relating to specific projects.
• Introduce strategies to effectively manage current and future supply chains.
• Conduct supplier evaluations including business reviews and contract/SLA reviews.
• Maintain SAP and other databases accurately.

Job description

Indirect Buyer required for a Global Engineering and Manufacturing leader, with multiple worldwide locations employing 1000 + staff, renowned for quality and innovative deliverables.

The successful Indirect Buyer will be easily able to commute to HUDDERSFIELD from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.

Key Responsibilities of the Indirect Buyer will include:

• Manage a portfolio of Indirect Categories such as CAPEX Machinery, Facilities Contracts, Machine maintenance contracts.
• Develop and represent the supply chain department
• Provide input and forecasts on supply relating to specific projects
• Introduce strategies to effectively manage current and future supply chains
• Conduct supplier evaluations including business reviews, supplier visits, contract and SLA reviews.
• Support business continuous improvement activities
• Maintain SAP and other databases are accurate at all times

For the Indirect Buyer role, we are keen to receive CV’s from candidates who possess:

• Experience as a Indirect Buyer or other related roles within a technical environment
• SAP or Salesforce experience
• Ability to negotiate skilfully with internal and external groups
• Experience reading engineering drawings
• CIPS/MCIPS preferred but not essential

Salary & Benefits:

• £37,000 to £42,000 depending on experience
• Flexible working hours
• 1-Day per week working from home
• 37.5 hours per week
• 25 Days annual leave + Bank holidays
• Company pension contributions of up to 8%
